Doodah Skateboard Design

What: Skateboard Design

Brand: Doodah

Matthew Lee, founder of The Swiss Lifestyle Shop Doodah, was quickly inspired by our concept of integrating people with Down Syndrome to our design team.

After ordering our T-shirts to resell around their 10 shops in Switzerland, he felt in love with the idea of having an exclusive design on their skateboards.

So we have been asked to create a special design to honor an old friend and professional skater, Christoph Rediger.

The designer to create this beautiful pattern was (of course) Jürg Rediger, Chris older brother.

The result was a beautiful skateboard and a lot of joy!

Why

Our mission and main goal is always the same:

Raise awareness of the talent of people with Down Syndrome in a fun and appealing way.

In the specific in the case of Doodah, a well known shop in the swiss skateboard and snowboard community, we aimed to raise awareness into their community.

We launched the skateboard in an event in the Doodah Shop Basel - Switzerland. City in which Jurg and Chris are located and where Ginga Ethical started.

That was as well the perfect chance to celebrate the fellowship between the two siblings Chris and Jurg.

How

For this skateboard design project, we were inspired by the water of the Rhein - Basel’s main river.

We used on this project as material mainly pencil marker and watercolors. The design’s elements was done completely in free-hand. Another important part on the design is the logo created in the middle of the board. A drawing representing the two siblings together.

The result turned out to be this beautiful pattern motif!
